Heater Harnesses

Harness length is limited only by the wattage per foot and the available resistance wire. PVC wire is limited to 3 watts per foot maximum and silicone can go as high as 15 watts per foot if properly heat sinked. Both styles of wire are available in resistances from .22 ohms/ft to 5000 ohms/ft with a tolerance of +/- 5 percent.

Springfield Wire uses custom engineered T-101 connectors and other application specific connectors to join our heater wire to lead wire. These are tested both electrically and mechanically to exceed industry standards. Many options are available to insulate these connections. For a watertight connection, two styles are available. Our most robust design is a molded silicone "bullet" and is only for use along with silicone heater wire and silicone lead wire. Also available is a heat shrinkable thermal mastic sleeve. This is a heat shrink tube with a thermal mastic inside, which when shrunk down, melts and seals the connection.
